A New Partnership

In an era where skincare holds significant prominence in the beauty industry, Bella Cary, Founder of Blushka, recognised the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of makeup brushes. This being particularly important in the professional make-up industry, where one artist will often work on multiple models simultaneously.

Wanting to fill this gap in the market started Bella on a journey, with the end goal being a new range of makeup tools that could address the concerns with hygiene and cleanliness for professional artists, and in turn make cleaning simpler for home users.

The development process led to Bella being put in contact with AROS Group Ltd, a UK Midlands-based design agency..

Providing innovative design, engineering, and manufacturing services to Private Label customers across the globe, AROS Group was a perfect match for Blushka’s needs.

Whilst initially only seeking a CAD (Computer Aided Design) resource to assist with concepts and ideas, the relationship between Blushka and AROS Group’s Directors Max Marshall and Tim Ross quickly evolved into much more.

Max and Tim were so intrigued by Bella’s journey and dream, they not only jumped fully on board to help her develop a range of make-up brushes, they embarked on a full partnership with Blushka, making the full AROS Group resource available to the brand.

Bella’s wealth of industry knowledge, combined with the decades of engineering experience across the AROS team in multiple industry sectors hinted at the possibility of what could evolve from the arrangement.

Innovation and Development

Making a statement in a saturated sales market can be challenging at the best of times, but when the design brief involves redesigning and reimagining a long-established product, standing out takes from the crowd takes something truly special.

Guided by Bella’s experience in the beauty industry and extensive list of professional MUA contacts, the AROS team’s obsessive attention to detail spawned a wishlist of features that were essential to the project, and one by one they were ticked off as the development process progressed.

Sustainable –                               

Manufactured from aluminium instead of the more commonly used plastic. Aluminium is widely regarded as the most environmentally friendly metal in existence, and is almost infinitely recyclable.

Vegan and Cruelty Free –      

Fully synthetic bristles containing no animal products.

Professional Quality –             

The highest quality synthetic fibres available ensure no compromise on function.

Innovative Design –                   

Removable magnetic heads allow quick changes of brush type/shape for applying makeup in different areas of the face and eyes.

Ergonomic –                                   

Carefully designed shape and weight to sit perfectly in the hand and allow precise control without causing accelerated fatigue. Unique interchangeable counterbalance weights to allow the user to customise the feel and balance of the brush for ultimate comfort and precision.
